MTA, of Flint is set to build an addition to its alternative fueling station outside the city in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The new facility is to be adjacent to the fueling facility on South Dort Highway.
According to Ed Benning, MTA, General Manager, the addition "will allow us to safely store and work on hydrogen fuel cell and compressed natural gas vehicles."The addition is being designed by Progressive AE of Grand Rapids.
Benning said the decision to build the new facility came after comparing the cost of the new construction to the price of retrofitting existing MTA storage space.
The director declined to estimate the cost of the new facility, in the article which ran in Tuesday's edition of the Flint Journal.
