The flight attendant fired for a finger raised in defiance at a plane filled with passengers has been identified as Tatiana Kozlenko. She was employed by Russian airline Aeroflot until they became aware of the tasteless photo, according to a Feb. 5, 2013 report by Daily Mail.
Ironically, if Kozlenko is telling the truth, she is not the woman whose hand is featured in the photo, and the airplane does not belong to Aeroflot's fleet. She claimed the pic was posted to her social media page on the Russian language site Vkontakte, and she simply tagged herself in it as a joke.
Aeroflot discovered the photo after it went viral on Twitter. In turn, they used Twitter to announce that the flight attendant was fired for the finger given to passengers in the photo. Aeroflot made it clear that Kozlenko's attitude wasn't welcome at their airline regardless of whose finger appeared in the pic: "Posting this photo shows Tatiana’s attitude towards passengers and her duties. She acknowledged her fault when she spoke to her managers."
