Flex your wine tasting muscle here

For your tasting pleasure
For your tasting pleasureCasa Lapostolle

The best way to learn about wine is by tasting and making taste memories. Sometimes it takes a Herculean mental effort to make the first connection. But once done and committed to memory, you have strengthened your wine palate.

If you have read a wine description, often printed on the bottle’s label, then tasted and been left considering you may have a dead palate….Wait. Be patient. Try again and let the wine sit in your mouth a little. Open your mouth and breath in, rolling the wine around on your tongue. Repeat. If serving the wine at the right temperature, I guarantee something new will register in your brain. Grasp it! This is the essence of flexing your wine tasting muscle. That muscle is your brain.

Here is your invitation to join a group that meets just to do this. The organizer, Ms. Gilbert, puts events together with the goal of tasting wine. Although the focus may change with each meeting -- by varietal, country or region – the commitment is the same. It is to have fun while sampling wine.

Founded in July 2009, the group now has more than 900 members including men and women. Maybe one or two events every, to every other month, has about 80 – 100 average attendees. It is informal, yet organized enough to serve as a means for learning about wine and meeting like-minded friends.

Go to Denver Wine Meet Up to join and buy your ticket. Events quickly sell out.
