Flesh-n-Bone performed at the Whisky A Go Go, on Feb. 16. He is currently promoting his newest record, “Blaze of Glory” and is best known as a member of the hip-hop group, Bone Thugs N Harmony.
Crowd Molesters, Showtime Ken, FountNHead, Gordo, Api and Reverie were the opening acts. The disc jockey, DJ Dangerboogie, kept the crowds entertained between each artist.
When Flesh-n-Bone appeared, he wore sunglasses, a diamond watch and necklace, a white jacket, had a white towel hanging from his back pocket of his jeans and wore white shell toe Adidas. Shortly, Flesh-n-Bone’s entourage appeared on stage. It was the size of his Mo Thugs family from the “Thug Devotion” music video. Three members of his entourage had microphones, as they were dressed up in a mechanic’s suit.
As Flesh-n-Bone’s DJ played the next record, he removed his jacket and he had a white t-shirt underneath. He exposed tattoos on both arms. When the song came to end, he spoke of the members of Bone Thugs –n- Harmony: Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone. He also told the crowd to expect a record from the group soon.
After speaking of Bone Thugs –n- Harmony, Flesh-n-Bone performed one of his newest songs, “Don’t Think About It”. As the song came to an end, he took some time to let the audience know they can find his album at major retailers and online. He also performed “Ain’t Fair” and “Fallin’”.
In the middle of Flesh–n-Bone’s set, he put down the water and grabbed a cup of beer. A crowd member reached up to the stage and Flesh-n-Bone reached down and shook their hand. A few members of his entourage followed suit. Then, he had the crowd chant “Bone Thugs”, “Mo Thugs” and “FBG”.
The DJ played some classic Bone Thugs –n- Harmony songs including “Ecstasy” and “E. 1999”. When he played “Foe Tha Love of $”, Flesh-n-Bone performed his part and the audience rapped along to Eazy-E’s portion. The audience didn’t miss a beat and recited every word back to him. Everyone on the stage encouraged the audience performance.
At the end of the performance, the DJ played “Ain’t No Fun” by Snoop Dogg featuring Kurupt, Nate Dogg and Warren G. When Nate Dogg’s part was heard, Flesh-n-Bone chanted “R.I.P.” As he left the stage, he shook hands with the audience members and parted the stage.
