Flea market and yard sale season in full swing this weekend

The weather has been gorgeous in southwestern Ohio and the bargains are out there waiting to be discovered. Collectors.org offers a wonderful directory of flea market sites in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Spend a few minutes browsing the listings for your area and map out a plan of attack.

One site you won’t want to miss is the Springfield Antique Show and Flea Market at the Clark County Fairgrounds, on Saturday, April 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 22, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a huge event, with hundreds of vendors indoors and out, along with plenty of the food you crave but your doctor wishes you wouldn’t eat.

Another event for those on the hunt for quirky old stuff is the Yard Sale at the Grand Antique Mall in Reading. Current mall vendors will be set up in a tent outdoors, while other sellers will have their wares spread out about the lawn around the spacious former factory which will also be open and selling a variety of antiques. Hours are 10:00 to 6:00 Saturday for this one-day sale.
