I think flax alone can be a bit bitter. This is not a problem if you like bitter, and topping with healthy savory or sweet toppings kind of puts the bitter in the background. I have a question about the nutritional information posted with the recipe. I have a bag of Bob's Red Mill whole ground flax meal in front of me and the calories, fiber, etc are not the same. Says a serving size of 2 Tablespoons has 60 cals, 4.5 g fat, 4 g carbs, 4 g fiber, and 3 g protein. I am not sure if these numbers vary from brand to brand, but if someone is tracking these numbers, maybe it is best to check your package of flax to verify. Great recipe by the way. A nice crispy cracker to munch on in the evening! Thanks!!

Just made these right now...oh my gosh, what a delightful surprise. I added a bit of cinnamon and a dash of stevia as suggested by Raquel. Light and airy just like wasa or snackbread.

    YUM!

Thank you so much for sharing.

If your flax is bitter, it means it's rancid. Google it, I think I found the info on about.com. It goes bad fairly quickly. It's supposed to be slightly nutty and never bitter.

Thank you for the wonderful recipe! This recipe is super easy and gives the lacking "crunch" and munch while in induction on Atkins.

I believe if you use the "golden flax seed" you will find its good and not at all bitter. I find the golden flax sweeter tasting.
BTW I know this is 8month after your post Robin, but no one seemed to have answered you. You count what they call total carbs, and that means you take your carbs count and take away the fiber count.
Maybe I its better said this way, if you have 4 carbs and you have 4 grams fiber it is 0 carbs.
I hope this helps someone. lol
