Beyoncé has done it again. On Saturday night, Queen Bey released a remix to “Flawless” on her website as a surprise to fans. The remix features a verse by female rap star Nicki Minaj and lyrics by Beyoncé that address the infamous elevator fight between her sister Solange and her husband Jay-Z.

The song begins with Beyoncé reciting the lyrics, “We escalate, up in this b—ch like elevators. Of course sometimes s---goes down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator.” She repeats the line to make it clear as to what she is talking about and adds a laugh. But it wasn’t a laughing matter back in May when security footage was leaked showing Solange attacking Jay-Z in an elevator following the Met Gala. The three released a statement calling the incident “unfortunate” and a family matter that was resolved.

In this hot new single, Beyoncé pretty much mocks the ordeal and sends the message that she has moved on. Minaj’s rap verse replaces Nigerian writer’s Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s spoken-word cameo and adds a street element to the song, especially with her line, “winning is my mother—ing protocol.”

The pop superstar seems to continue to come out on top despite any controversy or rumor of marital issues. Beyoncé and Jay-Z have gone on their epic “On the Run” tour together, but rumblings about a divorce continue to emerge. The elevator incident seemed to just be the trigger of the rumors.

A report by the New York Post emerged Saturday stating that the famous duo had an emergency meeting with concert promoter Live Nation, HBO and four lawyers to address the couple’s marriage issues. The meeting was reportedly held on Thursday. The couple married in 2008 but have apparently been living separate lives during the tour. Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been denying the rumors by showcasing their love both on stage and online. But usually, where there is smoke, there is fire.
