Junior League of Boca Raton announces a new location and theme for its annual culinary festival
For many years, the Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) brought us the Chocolate Decadence Festival, which morphed into the “Flavors of Boca” last year. And now, JLBR has reinvented the name, theme, and locale of the popular event, now dubbed simply “Flavors.” In fact, the entire concept of the event has also evolved, from its original Valentine’s Day-based “all things chocolate” theme, to a more foodcentric, chef-driven venue. This year’s “Farm to Fork” theme will focus on flavors that are local, fresh, sustainable and nutritious.
This year’s culinary and wine celebration takes place Thursday, March 13 (6:30 to 9:30 p.m.) at Sonoma House. FYI, Sonoma House is a new (and very cool!) event venue, located in downtown Boca Raton at 220 NE 11th Street (one block southeast of Glades Road and Federal Highway). As Flavors Chef Chair Patrick Broadhead, Executive Chef of The Max Group (Max’s Grille, Max’s Harvest, and Sonoma House) states, “Guests will enjoy a unique culinary experience where local chefs will put their best food forward with fresh and sustainable fare.” JLBR members and Event Co-chairs Laura Kendrall and Stephanie Economos have likewise been instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition.
Don’t miss your chance to sample and savor the creative offerings from nearly two dozen restaurants, including Don’t miss your chance to sample and savor the creative offerings from nearly two dozen restaurants, including Bedner’s Fresh Farms, Blue Martini, Caffe Luna Rosa, Casa D’ Angelo, City Fish Market, Dada, Farmer’s Table, Fit Foodz Café, Juice & Java, Max's Grill, Max's Harvest, NYY Steak, Oceans 234, Pinon Grill, Potions in Motion, Publix Aprons, Taverna Opa, 13 American Table, and more!
