For anyone who lived through the 80's, seeing Flashdance - the Musical will be like going through a time warp. The big hair, shoulder pads, and neon clothes will bring back memories, good and bad, and the music will cause one to dance in their seats. The Broadway in Atlanta presents Flashdance - The Musical only February 5 through February 10 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre.
Flashdance - The Musical is the perfect girls night out, though men who come will definitely approve of the infamous water splash routine and some of the other risque dances that are done. Women love the inspirational story of a girl from the wrong side of the tracks overcoming everything against her to find love and dance professionally. And the music is great for everyone, timeless and just plain fun. It's as if the actors dare audience members not to sing along with 'Maniac', 'Gloria', or 'Flashdance - What a Feeling'.
Show times for Flashdance - The Musical in Atlanta are at 8 PM from February 5 to 9 and 6:30 PM on February 10 with matinee performances at 2 PM on February 9 and 1 PM on February 10. The performance running time is 2 hours 35 minutes with one 20 minute intermission. This show is appropriate for adults or older teens. There are some adult themes and risque behavior that probably aren't appropriate for kids.
