Want a game that is a throw back to the classic turn based RPG games of yesterday but with they had a faster pace. Well you should give "Enola-Prelude" a shot. With 20 beautifully hand drawn levels there are plenty of opportunities to test your mind in a fast pace arena.
If you have ever played "Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 1 +2" you will be familiar with the combat set up of "Enola." The combat for "Enola" is turned base but decisions take place in real time so you can't just sit around and think about your move as the enemy as the opportunity to attack. The gameplay is similar to reminiscent of turn based strategy in that you have to wait for a bar to fill up in order for you to attack. So you have to plan your moves to make sure that you are using your best attacks but that you are also maintaining your manna and health levels.
After five levels you will face a boss level that will be a test of your endurance. After you beat all 20 levels you transitioned to the first level but now the enemies are much more powerful and can become a tough challenge quickly.
Each of the game's 20 levels are beautifully hand drawn so besides some fun combat there is some eye candy to look at as well. So if you want you want to have some while there is some down time at the office check out "Enola-Prelude."
