Flash For Free = Waste of time
Flash For Free is a popular app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that claims to add a flash effect to camera photos by brightening the picture. Unfortunately, the app fails to deliver on said promise and is little more than free app fodder for the iPhone.
Flash For Free is designed to make your pictures look like they were taken with a flash camera, something the iPhone lacks. This is accomplished by simply brightening the picture. Flash For Free can’t even do this right as it takes forever to load or do anything and once the picture is loaded you are only given a choice on nine settings of brightness. The choices are not nearly bright enough. I went on vacation recently and used the app to attempt to enhance a few low lighted pictures and for the sake of experimentation, one bright picture. The results were all the same. Not one picture ended up much brighter than what I started with.
Flash For Free is a total bust of an iPhone app. It’s slow and it doesn’t work. Nothing is more frustrating than downloading an app that is a complete waste of time and doesn’t do it’s job. Yet another bad app that suckers people in because it happens to be free. Skip Flash For Free.
