Flash Fiction Contest

Do you love to write short stories? How about flash fiction? If you do, there is good news. Splickety Magazine and My Book Therapy are hosting a flash fiction contest.

For those who are wondering, flash fiction simply is a short story (usually 1000 words or less). Splickety Magazine, a flash fiction magazine, is looking for unpublished, original flash fiction stories to be featured in a special issue along with a flash fiction story from Susie May Warren. Susie is the founder of My Book Therapy. Submissions are due February 1, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. From there, Splickety Magazine will narrow the field down to between 15 and 20 entries. Then the staff at My Book Therapy will select the top ten stories with the grand prize winner to be chosen from the top ten.

If you are interested in participating you can find more information here at Splickety Magazine’s Lightning Blog including the submission guidelines. You will notice there is no entry fee, but you will be limited to two entries. You can read more information about Splickety Magazine and My Book Therapy by visiting their websites. You can also follow both on Facebook.
