On Friday, December 16, 2011, an unnamed witness reportedly saw a flaming UFO falling or descending from the cloudy skies over Illinois. This UFO was caught on video.
The footage shows a mysterious unidentified flying object moving very slowly towards the ground. It looks to be orange in color and has the appearance of something that is engulfed in flames. Unfortunately, the video of this UFO sighting is only a few seconds in length, not long enough to determine the identity of the object or its final destination.
This Illinois UFO sighting was actually confirmed by another individual. After seeing this video footage on YouTube, upiitafab1986 left the following comment:
It actually happened in December 16th...between 16:00 - 17:00 GMT -6:00. I recorded it too with my camera...I'll upload the video later, it looks really similar to this other video also filmed at Cuernavaca, Mexico in July 6th 2011 . . .

Similar events allegedly occurred in Cuernavaca, Mexico on July 6, 2011 and January of this year (location unknown). Reaction to the UFO sighting has been mostly positive.
There has been some speculation about the possible identity of the UFO. Some theories include "space rubbish that finally got pulled due to the earth's gravity field," a satellite, or a space probe.
