Flames lose second straight at home Monday

The Calgary Flames have got of to a sluggish start to begin the 2013 National Hockey League season.

On Monday, Daniel Winnik (two goals and an assist) and Saku Koivu (one goal and two assists) each had three points in a 5-4 Anaheim Ducks' victory over the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

With the win, the Flames fall to 0-2 to start the year and have now given up nine goals in two home games. Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf also scored twice as Anaheim improved to 2-0 on the season. They have now scored 12 times in two games after their 7-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

The Ducks took the early 3-0 lead before the Flames stormed back to tie the game at three. Winnik then scored the game winning goal at 4:02 of the third period from Koivu and Andrew Cogliano.

The Flames next play in Vancouver Wednesday night with their next home game against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
