According to the Calgary Flames website, the Calgary Flames won their third straight game on Tuesday by defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Defenseman T.J. Brodie scored the game winning goal when he pinched into the play and scored a goal on a wrap around that fooled Blackhawks' goaltender Corey Crawford.

For Brodie, it was his fourth of the season, and according to Chris Cuthbert of TSN, Brodie becomes the second Flames defenseman to score an overtime winner against Chicago this season. He follows Kris Russell who scored the overtime winner on November 3 in a 3-2 win in Chicago.

Three Flames had multi-point games Tuesday. Lee Stempniak led the way with three assists, with Mikael Backlund notching two goals and Matt Stajan with a goal and an assist.

The Flames had a 4-2 lead in the game only to see the Blackhawks come back to tie the contest and force overtime.

Each team notched a shorthanded marker. Mikael Backlund for the Flames and Marian Hossa for the Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks are ice cold at the moment. The defending Stanley Cup champions have lost four straight.

Calgary next plays the San Jose Sharks on Thursday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
