The Domino Effect Rescue Ranch in the Tampa Florida area has been under scrutiny since a blindfolded horse on its way to being donated to the ranch was seriously injured in the presence of owner, Robert Ashcraft.
Since a news report of the blindfolded horse injury was published last week and a complaint of animal abuse at Domino Effect Rescue Ranch was filed with the Ripoff Report, authorities have begun taking action with regard to Ashcraft's alleged Christian-based operation.
An inspection by Hernando County Animal Services was performed on Thursday, and an additional inspection by the Florida Department of Agriculture, Division of Consumer Services is scheduled for next week.
An email from the Florida Department of Agriculture’s Equine Program Manager, Dr. Michael Short said, “Our field staff have been in contact with the owner of Domino Effect over the past 10-14 days and have informed him of the EIA requirements. We are planning on making a visit to the premises early next week.”
The Domino Effect Rescue Ranch is located at 10370 Snowbird Avenue in Weeki Wachee, Florida.
