Fiyonce won the $110,000 Courageous Lady at Northfield Park on April 25 in 1:55.1.
Driver Josh Sutton steered the Ron Burke-trainee for owners Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi.
The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover used come-from-behind tactics after opening panels of :27, :56.1 and 1:25.1, before posting a :29.2 final brush to best rival That Woman Hanover by a head.
Fiyonce returned a healthy $48.60 for a two-dollar ticket as the longshot in the field of six at the Cleveland half-miler.
“When I got her to the outside she just flew home,” Sutton stressed. “She is a nice filly and raced great tonight.”
Sister Stroll finished third, with A La Notte Hanover fourth, and Shell Bell fifth. Only Kayla Grace failed to garner a purse check.
Fiyonce now has two wins, two seconds and two thirds in 11 lifetime starts. Her career earnings now stand at $116,549, and in just two seasonal starts she has already amassed $55,000.
The speedy 3-year-old does have a career mark of 1:52.4 taken last season as a freshman at The Meadowlands. .
Fiyonce is the first and most prolific of three foals out of her $368,883-winning dam, Fionavar Hanover, a daughter of Ohio sire The Panderosa. She was a $20,000 yearling at the 2012 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg, PA.
