A number of Windows 7 64-bit users have recently run into problems with Remote Desktop Connection through Microsoft's Unified Access Gateway or UAG.

When using the Remote Desktop Services protocol on Windows 7 x64, they receive the error "Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because an error occurred on the remote computer that you want to connect to."

This error is caused by a Windows Update to Remote Desktop Protocol 8.0. This update allows the use of new Remote Desktop features on Windows 7 SP1.

The workaround is to uninstall KB2592687 and reboot.
