There are five things every San Francisco 49er fan needs to know about the 2013 Super Bowl.
Everyone needs to know when the game starts, that is, the actual kick off time. They want to know when the pregame show starts, what are the Las Vegas odds, what to expect for the half time show, and finally the options for the post-game show. And yes, there are options besides the post game show on CBS.
Here in San Francisco, there have been a lot of distractions to the main game. Famously, cornerback Chris Culliver said he wouldn't want any openly gay teammates. (That story is here.)
San Francisco city officials got the word out on Friday that no post-game violence will be tolerated. As you recall, there were a number of incidents of violence following the victory of the San Francisco Giants in the World Series. A Muni bus was torched and a number of people were injured.
This year, police have a strategy planned to head off any violence. Police will saturate areas of the city that are prone to unruly fans including the Mission and the Excelsior.
Of course the Super Bowl is on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.
