Confidence based on anything outside of the Word of God requires perfection and is subject to failure. Why? Because confidence based on human abilities is temperamental and limited to the natural scope of performance. Whereas, confidence based on the Word of God is empowered by the Holy Spirit and backed by the blood of Jesus. It is not dependent upon circumstances or hindered by human emotion.
Here are five steps to becoming a confident woman of God.
1. Work your faith (James 2:26)
Look for opportunities to exercise your faith and grow your confidence level. It does not matter where you start, just start by taking action.
2. Meditate on the Word of God (Joshua 1:8)
Campbell Mc Alpine says: Meditation is the devotion of pondering the words of a verse of Scripture, with a receptive heart, allowing the Holy Spirit to take the written Word and apply it as the living word to the inner being.
3. Consistently submit yourself to God (James 4:7)
The key words here are consistently and submit. Sporadic submission will result in sporadic results. Start your day by submitting yourself to God don't wait until you find yourself in a jam.
4. Refuse to fear (Isaiah 41:10)
Fear will come. Your part is to resist it by taking authority of the situation by using the Word of God. Just as Jesus is on the throne doing His part and the Holy Spirit is in the earth doing His part. Satan is also in the earth working. Which means if you want to succeed you must do your part.
5. Give God continually praise (Hebrews 13:15)
God is due praise for the simple fact that He is God Almighty, who reins supreme. Which provides a reason to praise Him even when circumstances don't progress as planned and you find yourself struggling. Just remember that there is victory in your praises to God. Trust that no matter what obstacles you face in your quest to gain confidence that your success is guaranteed as long as you trust in God's abilities to help you develop into the confident woman of God He created you to be in every circumstance.
