As a tribute to Texas and some of its finer products, Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck will host a Texas beer dinner on August 3rd, with menu selections by Executive Chef Sara Johannes paired with beer from two Texas breweries.
Houston's Saint Arnold Brewing Company will showcase several beers, including seasonal selections, and Brock Wagner of Saint Arnold will be on-hand to share facts and information with guests. Real Ale Brewing Company of Blanco, Texas will be represented by Owner Brad Farbstein, who will educate diners on his brewery's wares during the meal.
This "Celebration of the Texas Harvest" will begin at 6 p.m. with an informal meet-and-greet in Five Sixty’s lounge, where guests can snack on passed appetizers while sipping some Texas beers. The dinner will follow at 7 p.m. and will feature a five-course menu created to showcase local meats, fish, and fowl as well as fruits and vegetables from local farms, all paired with libations from St. Arnold and Real Ale. The night finishes with beer-inspired dessert from Chef Isla Vargas.
The cost of attendance is $95 per person not including tax and gratuity. Space is limited, and reservations are required.
