In two weeks on Apr. 28, TCM will be airing five of actor Robert Mitchum's movies. The film marathon starts at 7 at night with the film, "The Sundowners," then the marathon ends the next day at 4:30 in the morning with the movie, "Angel Face."

The rest of the movies that will be airing are "The Wonderful Country," "The Racket," and "Ryan's Daughter." It looks like TCM will be airing some of his 'lesser' known pictures. You won't be seeing "Night of the Hunter" or "Out of the Past," but a different variety of Mitchum's work. So it will be an interesting marathon to check out.

Robert Mitchum was known for playing menacing characters, detectives, lowlifes, soldiers, and many other different types. He was versatile actor that had a lot of charisma. Mitchum wasn't necessary known as the clean-cut boy next door type, but his grittiness was what made his performances powerful, and memorable!

So this five movie marathon once again airs on the Turner Classic Movies channel, and this happens on Apr. 28 starting at 7 p.m. CST. If you really haven't watched many Mitchum movies or love him, don't forget to check it out.
