Five Points MARTA station nightlife

If you are looking to go out in downtown Atlanta, the area around the Five Points station provides a few options if you know where to look. Keep in mind that the North Avenue or Midtown station areas offer a larger number of restaurants, clubs and entertainment venues if you are looking for a more vibrant scene. Otherwise, read on to explore some after-hours spots in the core of the city.

Anatolia Cafe and Hookah Lounge
Located on Peachtree Street, the Anatolia Cafe and Hookah Lounge is open until midnight and features Turkish food, a full bar and a variety of hookah flavors. A dance floor is available on a regular basis if you like to move. Take the Peachtree Street exit out of the station, turn left and walk about two blocks.

Dania's Restaurant and Lounge
Dania's offers Mediterranean dinner, full bar and desserts in the evening. Open until midnight, it is more of date-night spot than party scene. Take the Peachtree Street exit out of the station and turn left. Dania's is on the first corner.

Footprints
For a Caribbean vibe, head to Footprints, a Jamaican restaurant and bar in Kenny's Alley. Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant is open until 3 a.m. and DJs regularly play music. Exit the fare gates near the Peachtree Street exit, and turn right inside the station to the doorway/stairs leading to Underground Atlanta. Follow the signs to Kenny's Alley once in Underground.

Sidebar
Tucked away in an historic building in the Fairlie-Poplar district is Sidebar. It is a classic neighborhood spot where you can watch the game, play pool or air hockey and compete in NTN trivia. Open daily until 11 p.m.

Thrive
Take it up a notch at Thrive, a higher-end restaurant with full bar and live music on Friday nights with Wesley Cook. Saturday is late-night and the restaurant is open until 3 a.m. Sushi, salads and meat entrees make up the menu.

If you expect to be out late, remember that the trains stop running around 1 a.m., so plan for an alternative way home if necessary.
