Five cats rescued from house fire

The Mobile Fire Rescue Department was dispatched to 2310 Taylor Avenue on December 27, 2012 around 12:11PM.

Mobile fire units reported on the scene at 2310 Taylor Avenue with fire and smoke gushing from the single story residence.

Before firefighters arrived fire medics on the scene were able to rescue two cats before the smoke got too thick for them to rescue any of the other cats.

When firefighters went into the home to extinguish the fire thee cats were rescued and brought outside to safety.

A mobile fire investigator was also dispatched to the fire at 2310 Taylor Avenue to investigate the cause of the fire.

The Christmas tree in the living room could have been a probability of where the fire started according to the home owner.

No civilians or firefighters were apparently injured before, during or after the fire at the scene of 2310 Taylor Avenue.
