Normally when fitness activities are discussed it is what the fitness and medical field refer to as the healthy population. Which makes one wonder if the rest of the population are to be excluded from the balance of the analyses. For the people that are part of the so called unhealthy population, Salt Lake City has one of the best recovery clinics in the nation. The clinic’s name is TOSH where ironically they do both rehab for the physically impaired along side of training top level athletes to improve their competitive edge.
Sometimes the same people might use both sides of the training facility when they train for competition and get hurt in the process. For example all the athlete has to do is not completely warm up and pull a hamstring in the process and find themselves actually doing both training and rehab on the pulled hamstring using both sides of TOSH.
In the athletic world they call it trainer’s remorse. Getting sciatica while training is another example of an injury that requires recovery which keeps the individual from fully participating in their activity. The idea that goes along with the recovery is to stop doing what caused the injury sometimes that is not fully possible. So do what you can to recover which requires of lot of patience and self-discipline and then get back to doing what you do best.
