Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who works out up to 2 hours a day to maintain her lean bikini body, won't allow her kids to eat at McDonald's or consume processed food.
“I take them to Pizza Express because I think that’s much healthier,” Paltrow, 38, told ex-BBC host Jonathan Ross. “Don’t tell them there are toys [at McDonald's]!”
Refuses to Eat Canned Food
Gwyneth, who follows a diet of mostly lean proteins, vegetables and fruit, typically has green tea, a protein shake and some blueberries for breakfast, followed by a high-protein, low-calorie lunch.
While Paltrow regularly enjoys decadent desserts, she draws the line at processed food.
“I’d rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a can,” she insists.
Gwyneth, who recently released a cookbook, also drinks liberally when preparing meals. “I drink constantly while I’m cooking,” she says. “Wine, either color.”
'I Eat Whatever I Want, As Long as I Exercise'
Gwyneth, who admits she used to have "a square butt," works really hard to maintain her slender, toned physique.
"I had to work hard to get [my body] like this, but now I'm here it's so great because I don't have to think about it." she says. "I can just enjoy life. What a relief that is.
"I can eat what I want as long as I exercise, which is just as well, because if I put the word 'diet' into my brain, I immediately gain a stone."
Paltrow has been married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin since 2003, with whom she has two children: daughter Apple, 7, and five-year-old son Moses.
