Fit for a King brings Christian metalcore to Des Moines on January 31 (Photos)

Christian metalcore band Fit for a King will make a tour stop in Des Moines at Vaudeville Mews (212 Fourth Street) on Thursday, January 31. Doors for the show will open at 5 p.m., and the music will kick off at 5:30 p.m. Tourmates The Overseer and locals The Widow and Apathy Syndrome will serve at the opening acts for the show. There will be a $10 cover charge at the door, and the concert will be an all ages event.

Tyler, Texas natives Fit for a King got their start in 2007 as a group of six Christian musicians wanting to share their faith and fondness for metal music. Over the years the Christian metalcore outfit has released two EPs and one full-length album, 2011's Descendants. Now just a quintet, Fit for a King is set to release their second album, entitled Creation/Destruction, on March 12. Check out music from Fit for a King in the nearby video box.
