Fistfight: Orlando Bloom takes a swing at Justin Bieber while the crowd cheers

By all accounts, Orlando Bloom is a pretty nice guy and not one prone to violence. However, as the New York Post reports on July 29, he took a swing at pop star Justin Bieber for making a rude crack about his ex, Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr, in Ibiza Spain.

There’s been bad blood between these two since 2012. Bieber got flirty with Miranda while she was still married to Bloom. Shortly after the Bloom/Kerr split, Bloom was spotted with Bieber’s ex, Selena Gomez. The stage was set.

The altercation finally happened at Cipriani, an Ibiza hot spot. They had quite an audience. Some faces spotted in the crowd were Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Diddy

“Justin was at one table, and Orlando was at another,” a source told us. “But when Bieber and his party were later walking past Bloom’s table, Orlando refused to shake Bieber’s hand.” Then, “Bieber said something rude to Orlando, like, ‘She was good.'”

Another source close to Justin Bieber countered that the pop star didn't make any rude comment and that, “Justin didn't even know Orlando was there. But when they saw each other, it was Orlando who was just being an a-hole to Justin.”

Whatever actually happened, Orlando Bloom wasn't about to take it lying down. “They got in each other’s faces and there were words,” a source said. “But they were separated by their entourages.”

And, of course, someone captured it on a cell phone and posted the 30-second video to Facebook. It shows the two being separated and then Bloom coming back and throwing a punch.

“When they were back together again, Orlando threw a punch at Bieber,” said a source. “He just tried to pop him! The whole place cheered.”

According to a Bieber source, the punch missed. “There was no contact. He missed. Then there was some ‘tough-guy shoving’ and they were separated.”

Another eye witness said he did see Bloom’s punch connect. “The punch definitely connected. People saw it. That’s why everyone cheered.”
