Fishing in Mexico- Fish tales part 2

It is probably the emerald blue green water that surprises most people when they stumble upon Puerto Penasco, Mexico for the first time. The Sea of Cortez is a brilliant color and when it is flat and calm, the sun creates millions of shimmering diamonds as far as the eye can sea. Vibrant blue, clean and clear comes to the lips of most folks when describing the Sea of Cortez. In this tale, fish, big fish and more fish will complete the description.

Technology today is an amazing tool. What can be captured on video that fits in the palm of your hand or on a click of a camera that can be thrown in the water is truly remarkable. It can convince anyone who is a disbeliever of fish tales anywhere, especially in Mexico. Skeptical of how blue the Sea of Cortez really is? Not sure if you believe you can catch a 80 pound or 100 pound grouper?

Read on and watch.

"It was a belt day" stated Marcia Brockmeyer one of the fisher persons on the trip. Meaning put the fishing belt on, get ready to dig your heels in and ping the line ( Marcia's secret trick) . Approximately 4:30 in the afternoon with two rods in the Sea of Cortez the fish are hungry. Rods are bent, the line is running and you can witness it all in a few minutes with this video edited by Ed Brockmeyer ( A Sadie T. Wench) production and music by Steve Larson "Joe's Gone Fishing".

Stay tuned for the last segment of Fish Tales Part 3 to see the biggest fish caught 9 days later. Take a few minutes and click on the video below.
