That means you will only have half the fat and not all the grease you get from fried fish.

It only takes 40 minutes to bake. That means less time you have to spend in the kitchen. It takes less time to prepare and serve this dish tham most casseroles. In less than an hour you will have prepared, cooked, and served this delicious casserole. This is the perfect dish for serving on those rushed evening meals. This casserole's leftovers will store well covered in the fridge and may be easily reheated in the oven or microwave. 2 pounds of catfish fillets

1/2 onion, sliced

1 can of sliced mushrooms, drained

2 tablespoons of real butter

1 pack of imitation crab meat

1 can of cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup of swiss cheese

1/2 cup of cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon of dried basil

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt

1/4 cup of milk

1/2 cup of seasoned bread crumbs

2 tablespoons of parmesean cheese, grated


1. In a skillet, saute' onions and mushrooms in butter.

2. Add the seasoning salt.

3. Add the soup, cheeses, salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil, crab, and milk.

4. Simmer until the cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.

5. Place the catfish in a greased 9x13 baking pan.

6. Pour the cheese mixture over the fish.

7. Sprinkle the bread crumbs over the sauce.

8. Sprinkle the parmesean cheese over the bread crumbs.

9. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes.

10 Serve hot and enjoy!
