First trailer for 'The Hangover Part III'

Warner Bros. has played it close to the vest with The Hangover Part III, keeping the final chapter of the raunchy, booze-injected comedy mostly under wraps until now. With the debut of an awesome Harry Potter-influenced poster earlier this week, we're finally receiving the first trailer and it looks like another wild, hazy night in Vegas is in store.

Phillips has said previously that the goal was to not follow the same basic structure as the last two films, and so far it looks like he's succeeded in that. At least in this first bit of footage, none of the old gags are prevalent, even though the cast features a number of returnees. As we know, this story largely centers on Alan (Zach Galifiankis), who is reeling from the death of his father, and ends up in a mental ward in Tijuana before the rest of the Wolfpack comes to the rescue.

There are glimpses of some of the broader gags, the giraffe one is hilarious already, but mostly we're being kept in the dark. The poster suggests a violent feud with Chow (Ken Jeong) and the destruction of Las Vegas, which is also strongly hinted at here. John Goodman turns up as the "villain", and there's a disturbing moment involving Melissa McCarthy, Galifianakis, and a lollipop.

The Hangover Part III also stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Jamie Chung, Heather Graham, Mike Epps, and Mike Tyson. Look for it to hit theaters on May 24th.
