The first cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has arrived. The free-roaming action adventure game confirms that Edward Kenway is the protagonist but does not contain any in-game footage. Ubisoft currently has a countdown on their website for the world premiere trailer, which will be released on Monday March 4th.

Earlier in the week, Kotaku was sent a poster from a tipster that shows the hooded protagonist of Assassin's Creed IV on a pirate ship with a black pirate flag in the background. The poster will supposedly be put out in stores on March 4th.

Yesterday, Ubisoft released the game's box art and revealed that PlayStation 3 owners will be getting 60 minutes of exclusive content.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will hit store shelves on October 29th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, WiiU, and PC. The game will be released for next-gen platforms presumably later in 2013.
