While 5-time Pacific Street Car Association champ Doug Sikora qualified No.1 and defeated series points leader Gary Ross in the finals of the MagnaFuel Outlaw 10.5 Class, many of those making their way into the winner’s circle at the Chris Alston's Chassisworks Nor~Cal Nationals, presented by Ross Racing Pistons, March 21-23 in Sacramento turned out to be “first-timers.” These included Chris Schmidl, who beat Jason Kenzevich after 3 rounds in the Mickey Thompson Tires Wild Street with his 1972 Nova, as well as Anthony Smith who captured his first class in the Vortech Superchargers Outlaw 8.5 after qualifying 6th during four rounds in fiercely competitive field of 12. As a result Smith is now the points leader heading into Fontana this month.

"This is a promoter's dream," said PSCA President Mel Roth. "We had drivers fighting tooth and nail for every inch on the drag strip and there is nothing better than seeing a driver get their first win. It's very rewarding."

Meanwhile 2013 PSCA champion Chris Alston Jr managed to best 2012 NorCal Nationals champion Rob Barrios in an exciting final round in MagnaFuel XDR/TT5, while Sergio Felipe Crespo claimed the trophy after proving best in the Ross Racing Triple Index class against 16 competitors.
