Singer, songwriter, and now author Cheryl Roach-Thorpe has penned and published her first book, You Can't Pretend the Truth Away.
The 206-page narrative depicts Thorpe's journey as a wife, mother, and music minister whose Christian faith was put to the test when everything seemed to go wrong. Though many would rather keep their personal struggles private, Thorpe courageously shared them. Her story of "love, loss, and ultimately finding safety in the arms of Jesus" is Thorpe's public testimony which she hopes will serve as a source of strength or inspiration for others who may find themselves in a similar circumstance.
From cover to cover, readers can expect to relive Thorpe's experiences through the vivid recollection of her past. Then at the end of every chapter, is a list of questions to examine your relationship with self, man, and God. The conclusion of the book comes as a welcome surprise that will catch readers by surprise.
