2K allows gamers behind the curtain of their upcoming WWE title for the first time.
The first screenshot of “WWE 2K15” was revealed today via a press release obtained by Examiner.
Although still a work in progress, the shot (viewable to the left of this article) is the first photo of the WWE series on next generation consoles, shows the game’s cover athlete, John Cena, staring down “The Viper,” Randy Orton.
According to an article on IGN, 50 days of motion capture sessions took place for “WWE 2K15” and that it will have five times more animation data than last year’s game.
Earlier in the day the first information regarding the graphical specifications, story mode and and career mode were revealed in an exclusive article on IGN.com.
The game’s story mode, will be called “2K Showcase” and will be broken into two episodes and according to IGN, will focus on two different rivalries in WWE history. 2K Sports has yet to reveal who will be featured in these new modes.“WWE 2K15” will also have a separate story mode for create-a-wrestlers, “My Career,” which IGN says was lifted from the “NBA 2K” series. This mode will only be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Significant efforts have been made in the presentation department as well, with four times as many lines of commentary recorded than in “WWE 2K14.”
“WWE 2K15” is set for a October 28 release in North America and will ship on October 31 internationally.
