A shot of the game’s cover athlete Oklahoma Thunder star and reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant, it’s hard to tell how much the visuals have improved from last season, but with a plethora of sweat running down the superstar’s face, scattering in a bevy of different directions, the attention to detail is definitely apparent.
The screenshot reveal comes amid a bunch of other news for the 2K series, as today 2K Sports announced that “NBA 2K15” will also be available on the PC, with “even more graphical fidelity” Earlier this week, 2K Sports also announced the full track list for the game’s soundtrack. Consisting of tracks from A Tribe Called Quest, Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt and more, including three tracks from the soundtrack curator, music icon Pharrell Williams, 2K called it the most “unique soundtrack compilation in 'NBA 2K' franchise history."
A fashion, music and pop culture guru, Williams has produced tracks on some of the best-selling albums of this generation including Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” and Frank Ocean’s “Channel Orange. He’s also proven himself as a superstar solo performer with hit singles "Happy," “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke and “Get Lucky” with Daft Punk.
NBA 2K15 is now available for preorder for the PlayStation3, PlayStation4,the Xbox One, XBox 360 and PC.
"NBA 2K15" is set for an October 7, 2014 release in North America and October 10, 2014 internationally.
