Be My Valentine at the 2010 Princess Cruise Romance Summit
Princess Cruises is hosting the first ever Romance Summit on board the Crown Princess, the crown jewel of the Princess fleet. Princess Cruises will be the romance concierge of the Caribbean as people attending the Romance Summit escape completely aboard Crown Princess for this first-ever Romance Summit, a seven-day, romance-themed cruise to the Caribbean departing February 13 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The National Romance Travel Examiner will be there to report all about it as it happens!
This exclusive voyage will include specialized activities and a host of romance-themed events featuring members of Princess’ Department of Romance, including America’s Most Romantic Couple and Ruby Princess Godparents Trista and Ryan Sutter, destination wedding expert Lisa Light and long-time love and romance expert Gavin MacLeod. Through unique events and seminars, passengers will be able to gain insight and inspiration to infuse romance into their everyday lives.
Princess Cruises has been long synonymous with romance because of its legacy as the “Love Boat,” and with romance being a top reason why people go on cruises, many people choose to sail with Princess because it truly is the epitome of romance at sea.
The Crown Princess is defined by Its unique Crown Plaza, an atrium designed in the spirit of an Italian piazza where you can get a bite to eat or just relax and people-watch. Other highlights of this ship include the Crown Grill, modeled after a classic steakhouse, the Sanctuary deck area, reserved just for adults, and Movies Under the Stars®, the poolside movie theater. The Crown Princess will make love exciting and new with onboard amenities, dining options and activities designed to allow couples to reconnect with one another during their voyage.
Crown Princess will sail the Western Caribbean, visiting Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Roatan, Honduras; Cozumel, Mexico and Princess Cays, Princess’ private island on the Island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Whether onboard or ashore, here are some ways those attending the Summit will spend seven days of romance at sea:
- Engage with Princess’ Department of Romance members who will offer tips and advice on how to keep the flame of romance burning brightly
- Renew their wedding vows or get hitched in a ceremony officiated by the ship’s Captain
- Snuggle up in a private beach clamshell on Princess Cays for an intimate day in the sun
- Revive their senses with a romantic couples’ massage in one of The Sanctuary’s private cabanas
- Indulge in an evening of special touches with the elegant four-course Ultimate Balcony Dinner
- Learn to step in sync by attending one of the ship’s ballroom dance lessons
- Discover the islands’ wildlife together snorkeling in majestic blue waters
- Bring back “date night” with dinner in one of the specialty restaurants followed by a Movies Under the Stars romantic feature film

Romance summit - good concept. Hope there will be more. Also like the Princess line.
We met Gavin MacLeod on a Princess ship in November 2008. He is a great ambassador to the line, and obviously knows the "Love Boat" concept!
This is your weekend, as the romance specialist.
Sounds like an interesting array of valentine's / romantic options being offered by the line.
Cheers...
