Several details have been revealed in regards to the first download event for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS video games, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report from Serebii on Oct. 6, the first promotional offer will be taking place overseas at the United Kingdom.
Tesco will be offering specially marked packages for “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” A serial code is included in the two games, which will unlock a mystery gift that contains 12 quick balls. The item was originally introduced with “Pokemon Diamond,” “Pokemon Pearl” and “Pokemon Platinum.” When used near the beginning of a wild encounter, quick balls provide a better chance at capturing a pocket monster.
Tesco is a supermarket chain based in England. The company is the second largest retail chain in the world right after Walmart in terms of profit. Nintendo has not revealed any download events for other regions.
In addition to serial code, player can also use the infrared sensor, local wireless and Nintendo Network to acquire mystery gifts in “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” Along with items, the presents also include pocket monsters.
Nintendo will be releasing “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” for the United Kingdom on Oct. 12, which is the same day as the North American launch.
