Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting to see True Blood star Stephen Moyer on the big screen in The Barrens. On Thursday, Wet Paint shared the first official photos from the film featuring Moyer. In The Barrens, Stephen Moyer's character will deal with the legend of the Jersey Devil Monster when he takes his family on a camping trip. During the trip, things start to happen, and he starts to wonder if the legend is more than just a myth but reality. Darren Lynn Bousman is the director on the project, and he had the following to say about the film and his casting of Stephen Moyer, according to Digital Spy:
"I don't want to turn it into a cheesy creature feature. It's about the characters for me, and having watched Stephen for years on True Blood, I have no doubt he's the right leading man."
As for True Blood, Moyer will soon be returning to his character of Bill Comptom. That series is said to start production on its next season in November. The series will return to Channel 200 in Scottsdale in June 2012.

The Barrens will be released to Scottsdale theaters in 2012.
