Every year on New Year’s Eve, thousands of people come to Charlottesville, VA to take part in First Night Virginia on the historic downtown mall.

A Charlottesville tradition in its 29th year, this fun-filled celebration of the arts will offer music, dancing, comedy, juggling, a KidFest, midnight ball drop and much, much more. Click here to download the full schedule of events.

Events will begin at 3:00 PM on December 31, 2010 and will wrap-up at 12:30 AM January 1, 2011.

This year, admission to events will be by wristband instead of by button. Wristbands may be ordered online or purchased in person at several retail locations in Charlottesville. Click here for more information on wristband purchases. Kids under age 5 are admitted free to events.
