“Beatle Brunch” host Joe Johnson this week announced the first names to be featured during "Beatles Invasion 2014," a special six-day tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Beatles coming to America in 1964 that is planned for next year. The event will be held Feb. 5-10 at the Hard Rock Hotel Rivera Maya Hotel in Cancun, Mexico.
Headlining the six-day event will be the Pete Best Band. Also appearing will be former Wings guitarist Laurence Juber, former Wings drummer Denny Seiwell, Beatles authors May Pang and Nancy Lee Andrews, who will discuss their past relationships with John Lennon and Ringo Starr, and Tim Piper's Revolution with their “Just Imagine” John Lennon tribute.
Also on hand will be the Band on the Run tribute band who will be performing as the Beatles on “The Ed Sullivan Show” on Feb. 9, which also happens to be a Sunday, in a special nod to the 50th anniversary of that event. Joe Johnson will be emcee for the six-day happening.
Advance reservations can be made through Music In M'ocean.
