First Look: 'Suburgatory' creates a Men of Chatswin calendar (Photos)

If you thought Parker Young was the only Suburgatory cast member to rip off his shirt when he was excited or sad or angry-- well, you haven't been paying much attention to the show, have you? Fred (Chris Parnell) is also inclined to wander around naked-- albeit mostly in the steam room of the country club. Who says it's all about genetics? Like father, like adopted son in this case! But soon that exhibitionism is going to spread-- in a very special episode entitled "Decemberfold." And yes, that is exactly what you think it is.

A "Men of Chatswin" calendar is coming to ABC's Suburgatory (and we can only hope to the ABC store soon after). George (Jeremy Sisto) agrees to participate in the "Dads of Chatswin" calendar (to be more specific) in this episode, and he becomes obsessed with his body image, which ends up alienating Dallas (Cheryl Hines).

"It is one of the very main circumstances that come up in the relationship because of how different they are, wherein [Dallas] challenges him by saying he doesn’t do things that are fun and silly and just kind of challenges his ability to live in her world—the same way I’ve done with her at times. And I think George has a tendency to get caught up in things sometimes and ends up going further than he thought he would go and then comes to realizing ‘Oh, I’ve taken this too far.’ So that’s what kind of happens: he gets caught up in being a male model and being the most handsome one in Chatswin," Sisto said.

"He starts working out, and it’s not about her at all. We have a dinner where I’m not even listening to her, I’m just thinking about my face, and it’s pretty funny. He can be pretty ridiculous sometimes, too. Most of the time he’s grounded, but if he gets caught up in almost some kind of contest or some kind of challenge, then he’ll completely lose himself in it."

The other guys, namely Noah (Alan Tudyk) and Fred, have always both been in the running for the titular December-fold, which is the highest honor a dad could receive with placement. Now that George is in the mix, though, the competition is kicked up a notch, and they are all vying for that all-important title. Naturally, the guys go all-out to get the leg up (so to speak), and that includes spray-on abs for Noah, but someone had the idea to let George play with meat.

"There’s a whole panel and they take it very seriously—the country club and town of Chatswin. They have big costumes and sets and so he walks into it kind of not really knowing what we’re going to be doing but excited about all of it, and they have us do some pretty ridiculous stuff!" Sisto said.

"I'm excited to see it-- I'm a little concerned, but excited!"

Suburgatory airs on ABC on Wednesday nights at 8:30 p.m. starting with "Decemberfold" on April 3 2013.
