The edgy singer, Rihanna, unveiled her first foray into fashion with the River Island campaign, reports Vogue on Feb 19. The collection has been captured in a stylish shoot by Mario Sorrenti and features models Jourdan Dunn and Charlotte Free, along with Tao Okamoto, Ataui Deng and Bambi Northwood Blyth.
The nineties-inspired line, which is vibrant and bold is perfect for “young and sassy personalities.” The clothes reflect the sexier side with bodycons, crop tops, thigh-high slits, accentuated backs, high-waist shorts and bra tops, among others.
Model Jourdan Dunn is seen posing in a striped short-suit, which she teams up with bold plum lips and highlighted eyes. Although the collection has sparse use of black, color dominates with deep blues to even a touch of neon. Fashion fans will see plenty of hooded jumpsuits that the models style with chunky and laced military boots and light jewelry.
Rihanna debuted her long-awaited fashion offering for River Island during the London Fashion Week. The collection lands in stores on March 5.
