The CW's Arrow will have not one but two colors in the form of Green (Arrow) and Red (Arrow), as Colton Haynes' Roy Harper is going to be hooded up for season three as Arsenal, so get your first look of him at Entertainment Weekly (EW).
Haynes joined the superhero action-drama as Roy Harper, the proverbial bad boy with a heart of gold who grew up in the Glades at Starling City. After being saved by the Arrow, Roy set out to find him in hopes of being his protege, which caused problems in his relationship with Thea Queen, the sister of billionaire Oliver Queen, who is also the Arrow.
Roy finally got his wish and becomes a member of Team Arrow, but it wasn't without complications due Roy being injected of the Mirakuru, the same serum that was once injected into Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, Oliver's mentor/former friend/enemy.
That was not only another obstacle in Roy and Thea's relationship, but it also led to friction between Oliver, Diggle, Felicity, and Sara Lance/Black Canary, in which Roy went berserk and someone died in the process. Sara wanted to killed Roy, but Oliver disagreed and didn't want to fail Roy the same way he failed to save Slade.
Roy may no longer have super-strength and is ready to take up his mantle as Arsenal, but what will happen when and if he remembers what he did when he was under the Mirakuru?
Before coming to Arrow, Haynes was a regular on MTV's Teen Wolf.
Season three of Arrow begins Wednesday, October 8 at 8pm on the CW.
