The Nike LeBron 11 gets a new look thanks to a recently revealed colorway that seems to be missing one major detail. Instagram user shoulee81 showed off this colorful new LeBron 11 that is swoosh-less on the lateral side on Sunday, taking away one of the most significant aspects of any Nike shoe.
Because of the lack of a swoosh and the colors that don't have any obvious theme behind it other than maybe an early concept of the recently released "Akron vs. Miami" colorway, it is unknown at the moment whether or not these are set for release anytime soon or if they are just merely samples that never made it to actual mass production. One theory that shoulee81 themselves put out there is that these are test pairs for future NIKEiD colors because people cannot make this particular combination on NIKEiD at the moment especially without a swoosh. NIKEiD has been known to release new applications and themes on their signature shoes (and taking away old ones) throughout the season to keep things fresh for consumers.
It will be interesting to see if this swoosh-less shoe something that people would like to see in the Nike LeBron 11, which is already a highly divisive shoe because of not only its look but because of the way LeBron has performed while wearing them on the court. James actually went a good part of the season not wearing the LeBron 11 as Nike continued to "redefine" them. Stay tuned here for more updates.
