First Look: Jonathan Taylor Thomas returns to TV (on 'Last Man Standing') (Photos)

It's only a partial Home Improvement reunion, but it's the one every '90s girl (and some guys) have been waiting for, as it's the one that brings Jonathan Taylor Thomas back to primetime for the first time in years. Thomas guest stars on ABC's Last Man Standing on the season finale, and we have your first look of him, all grown up, in the photo preview above.

In the episode entitled "College Girl," the less-than-studious Mandy (Molly Ephraim) gets accepted to not one but two colleges, and Kristin (Amanda Fuller) realizes it's time to reevaluate where she is in her life. While out on a special date with Ryan (Jordan Masterson), she is pleasantly surprised to see Jon (Thomas), a former co-worker from the diner where she still works, who is now the successful owner of a hip, upscale restaurant.

Thomas has two scenes in the episode and both on-screen moments take the opportunity to refer to his previous gig. In the first, he runs into his old friend Kristin at dinner as she is lamenting her status among her siblings. Thomas makes a joke about being the middle child and needing attention so badly you end up being the funny one.

But it is in the second scene (previewed in the gallery above) that will make Home Improvement fans really smile. Picking Kristin up at home, he is introduced to her dad (Tim Allen), who remarks at how familiar he seems, does a softer version of Tim "the Tool Man" Taylor's grunt when Thomas says his car has been supped up for "more power," and then comments that this kid was "raised right."

Will this return to sitcoms inspire a longer stay for Thomas? This '90s girl can only hope so!

Last Man Standing airs on ABC on Friday nights at 8 p.m. "College Girl" airs on March 22nd 2013.
