Fans of Tom Cruise were given a sneak peek of what they can expect out of the actor in his upcoming role of Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages, which will hit theaters in Scottsdale in 2012. The official site of the actor, found at Tomcruise.com, released this photo of the actor in his role on Friday. The image shows Cruise on stage performing shirtless. Check out the photo here.
Rock of Ages is a film adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name. Adam Shankman is the man directing the film for the big screen, and the cast also includes Mary J. Blige, Catherine Zeta Jones, Paul Giamatti, Malin Ackerman, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, and Julianne Hough. The film is set during the 80s rock scene where hair bands ruled the radio. Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are behind this film that was originally set to start production in 2010, but production on the film started in May.
