Early today, Entertainment Weekly released the first official images (the images can be seen in the slideshow) from the upcoming film The Avengers Age of Ultron. This is going to be the main focus for this week’s double issue for the magazine as we get some inside information on the new movie

We get first look at Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), we also get a first look at Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Ashley Olson). Fans who stayed for the post-credit scene after Captain America 2 already got that first look but this is the first still that depicts both of the new characters to the series.

The movie will certainly have high expectations considering how well the first movie did ($1.5 billion worldwide) but also it is now the only chance that we will be able to see Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. After the third Iron Man movie, Downey Jr. announced he will only Iron Man for the Avenger series which is sad because he’s one of the better superheroes to put on a suit.

There have been rumors that Spider-man may make a cameo (as he is in the Avengers in the comic books), nothing has been confirmed yet. It’s highly unlikely that this would happen in this movie or in the future. Only way that is possible is if Sony (which owns Spider-man movie rights) is willing to make a deal with Disney. It’s not something that would be likely to happen.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to come out May 1st, 2015.
