First look at Gringotts ride at Universal Studios-slide0

Today, Universal Studios has released stills from the new Gringotts ride opening up in Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida through their Facebook page .

We get a first look at the Gringotts ride at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida

The ride is set up like The Mummy ride at Universal Studios, which means that since there is a bottom to the seating arrangement, it probably won’t go upside down. It will probably run like The Mummy ride where it will mix video and props with the ride and considering the stars from the movie came to shoot for it confirms that. Daniel Radcliffe (who played Harry Potter) didn’t come back to do the video for it, we will probably get footage from the movie for his part.

Universal has also released a description of the ride, which can be seen below.

Enter Gringotts™ bank beneath the massive fire-breathing dragon at the far end of Diagon Alley™. Inside Gringotts™ you’ll walk through the bank’s grand marble lobby and see goblins hard at work. Then, get ready to take a journey through cavernous passageways that lead deep underground as you climb aboard Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts™.
This new, multi-dimensional 3D thrill ride puts you right in the middle of the action as you face the bank’s stringent security measures while navigating the perilous underground vaults. You’ll encounter Harry, Ron, and Hermione along the way, but you’ll have to evade the wrath of malicious villains Voldemort™ and Bellatrix as well as trolls and other creatures who stand between you and a safe return to Diagon Alley™.

There are rumors circulating that pass holders might get an advance screening of the ride, but nothing has been announced yet. This would be good news since not only is this ride looking to opening up but also the train ride that is going to link the two parks together. You would need to have a park-to-park pass to be able to ride it.

Universal still hasn’t announced when the ride will open, but they have stated it should be sometime this summer.
