In honor of San Diego Comic-Con taking place this week, Entertainment Weekly is giving fans their first glimpse of Ultron, the villain that The Avengers will be toe-to-toe with next summer in the highly anticipated blockbuster sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Entertainment Weekly tweeted the cover of their Comic-Con preview issue Wednesday morning which features the two leaders of The Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man striking some pretty epic poses while Ultron himself towers ominously behind the pair.

Actors Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. look as heroic as ever on the cover with Downey as Tony Stark back in the armor after the ending of Iron Man 3 which left fans wondering if he'd return as the Armored Avenger. Its hard to tell what kinds of upgrades have been made to the suit other than it's back to its traditional color-scheme from the mostly gold Mark XLII armor. Captain America's suit had gotten a new design for the sequel that looks like a cross between the original uniform and the stealth uniform he wore in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Ultron is a well known Marvel villain and a lot of fans are really excited to see him brought to life on the big screen. In the comics Ultron was created by scientist Hank Pym also known as Ant-Man, Marvel's Phase 3 is to feature and Ant-Man solo movie which has fans wondering if Ultron's movie origin story will include Ant-Man at all. Will Ant-Man make an appearance in Age of Ultron or will it be explained in the Ant-Man movie after fans have seen Age of Ultron? Will Ultron be created by someone entirely different like billionaire industrialist Tony Stark? A lot of speculation about Iron Man's involvement is floating around due to Paul Bettany, who voices Tony Stark's AI butler JARVIS, also being slated to play The Vision who is sort of Ultron's son.

While fans have lots of theories at the moment, all they are is theories. We won't know the juicy details of The Avengers' newest adventure until summer of next year but in the meantime the cast of the movie including original team members like Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and possibly Scarlett Johansson (though its unknown if the Black Widow actress will be in attendance due to her later stage pregnancy) long with the new recruits Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olson who are playing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch respectively. The cast will hit Hall H at Comic Con International on Saturday.
